Ben & Jerry’s closes at Dulles Town Center food court

Some more unfortunate news from the Dulles Town Center where it turns out the Ben & Jerry’s ice cream stand in the middle of the mall’s food court has served its last scoop.

Plus the Popeyes at the mall appears endangered too.

The owners of Ben & Jerry’s announced they closed the stand at the start of March.

“The Ben & Jerry’s Dulles Town Center is now permanently closed,” they posted to social media. “Thanks to all of our customers for allowing us to serve you our euphoric ice cream over the years.”

There’s also an ongoing mystery about the status of the Popeyes in the mall food court. We are hearing from multiple shoppers that the Popeyes hasn’t been open in some time, but all the equipment is still there.

Online the store doesn’t appear to be listed on the Popeyes website any longer. We’ve sent messages to mall management for clarification.

The news comes just days after the Longhorn Steakhouse at the Dulles Town Center closed permanently. You can see that report here.
