Boy, when it rains, it pours. Just this morning, we reported the opening date of the new Big Buns Damn Good Burgers at One Loudoun. Now, we’ve confirmed the opening date for Sweetgreen at the center too. An abundance of riches.
The new Sweetgreen — the first for the fast-growing brand in Loudoun County — will open on Tuesday, May 9. That’s less than a month for local fans of the salad-centric fast-casual restaurant.
Last summer, the Burn was the first media outlet to break the news that Sweetgreen was coming into the busy Ashburn lifestyle center, located off Route 7 at Loudoun County Parkway. Since then, we’ve been watching construction on the space unfold.
Sweetgreen is going into a corner unit at the intersection of Exchange Street and Sprague Drive. That’s across the street from Sephora, and kitty corner from The Yard Milkshake Bar.
The restaurant has a menu filled with salads and warm bowls — both chef-curated versions as well as customizable build-your-own options. If you are new to the brand, you can see the menu here.
Coming on the heels of the recent openings of Ted’s Bulletin, &pizza, and South Block — One Loudoun is suddenly awash with new dining options.
