Sneak peek inside Loudoun’s first Sweetgreen salad restaurant

Tuesday is the big day — Loudoun County’s first Sweetgreen salad-themed restaurant will open its doors to the public at its new home in One Loudoun. And the staff is already onsite getting some practice in.

If you pass by today (Friday) or tomorrow, you may spot people inside getting salads. The Sweetgreen folks have invited employees at other businesses around the Ashburn shopping center — along with other area “test subjects” — to come by for a salad or warm bowl.

If you’ve been to a Sweetgreen before, you know what to expect. Simple interior with lots of tiles in the signature white and green on the wall. Big digital menu hanging over a long ordering counter where you choose your salad or bowl and watch as it is built.

Custom built salads and bowls — fit to your own liking and design — are also available. Sides include focaccia bread and hummus as well as sweet potatoes.

Starting this Tuesday — May 9 — the Sweetgreen at One Loudoun should be open from 10:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. each day.
