New Lotte Plaza in Sterling announces opening date

The new Lotte Plaza Market in Sterling is ready for its big debut. The Korean and international foods supermarket will open Friday, May 26 at 9 a.m.

The store is located in the Countryside Marketplace center just off Route 7 at Countryside Boulevard. It clocks in at more than 47,000 s.f. — having taken over the former Safeway grocery store space.

The Sterling Lotte Market is based on a new design for the company and will feature the Sijang Eatery — a food hall of sorts with restaurants offering a variety of Asian cuisines. You can see more details on the eatery here.

Besides the Sijang Eatery, Loudoun County’s first Tous Les Jours location is opening inside the Lotte Plaza. That’s a French-Asian bakery brand with more than a thousand locations overseas and in the United States.

The first Tous Les Jours in our area opened last year just off Highway 50 at Lee Road to much ado.

When the new Lotte Plaza opens on May 26, it will be the second one in Loudoun County — there is one in Ashburn as well. But it will be the first for the brand offering the new design and new food hall.
