Food truck and beer garden proposed for Ashburn land

A vacant parcel of land at the outer fringe of Ashburn’s One Loudoun center could become a food truck gathering spot as well as a beer garden.

The location is on Atwater Drive near Route 7. If you’ve ever seen the large One Loudoun sign while driving along 7, the spot we’re talking about is more or less directly behind the sign.

The owners purchased the land back in 2021 and hope to eventually build something there — perhaps a restaurant and/or event space. They are also the owners of IndAroma, a wedding and event venue in Alexandria.

In the meanwhile, they are developing a food truck and beer garden concept. Among the possibilities — a variety of food trucks serving food and beer with a communal seating area featuring picnic tables and lighting, and possibly live music at times.

Another possibility — something called “container kitchens” which are shipping containers that have been repurposed into unique food purveyors, similar to a food truck.

Right now, the idea is just in the exploration phase. The land owners are talking with county officials about what will work and what won’t, permitting questions, etc. Stay tuned and we will keep you posted if this project moves foward.
