Regular readers of The Burn know that açai bowls are all the rage in the fast-casual restaurant biz right now. And now another new entrant is coming into the Northern Virginia market.
It’s called Palm Berries and they’re working on their first Virginia store in Arlington.
Palm Berries is based in North Carolina and has three stores there with two more coming soon. The brand is franchising and Arlington was its first franchise deal.
The menu at Palm Berries includes its Special Bowls, its Create Your Own Bowls, and its Blends, which are going to be like a smoothie. You can check out the Palm Berries menu here.
In Loudoun County, smoothie shops such as Robek’s and Tropical Smoothie Cafe offer açai bowls. And the açai bowl vendor South Block opened at One Loudoun in Ashburn earlier this year.
Meanwhile, as we have reported previously, two new açai bowl brands — Rush Bowls and Nautical Bowls — are both actively looking at expanding to Loudoun County.
