New in NoVa: Chicken Salad Chick coming to Northern Virginia

Great news for fans of the southern chain called Chicken Salad Chick — the brand has signed a deal to bring is first restaurants to Northern Virginia. If you have never been, we’ll give you one guess what they specialize in.

Yep, it’s chicken salad — done up in a dozen different styles. There are spicy chicken salads such as the Buffalo Barclay and the Jalapeño Holly.

There are savory versions like the Barbie-Q and the Sassy Scottie, which has ranch, bacon, and cheddar cheese.

There are also chicken salads with fruits and nuts, or traditional styles with ingredients such as celery, or dill pickle and egg. The salads can be served sandwich-style, or just as a simple scoop.

Other items on the menu include two different styles of pimento cheese, a classic egg salad, as well as soups, fruit salads, and other sides. You can see the full Chicken Salad Chick menu here.

One interesting note — all the different chicken salads are named after and inspired by real life women who are friends or family members of the company’s founder.

There are more than 280 Chicken Salad Chick restaurants in 17 states, mostly in the southeastern United States. There are five locations in Virginia.
