New Bkd Bagels location opening this week in Leesburg

Big news as Bkd Bagels announces they will open their third location this week. The new store — seen in the photo above — will officially open this Friday, May 17.

The space — which used to be a Dolce & Ciabatta bakery — has undergone a major makeover, and includes an order counter that also sells merch, plus a long, cozy seating area running down one side of the store.

The new Bkd location is in the Fort Evans Plaza II shopping center off of Fort Evans Road NE. It’s a hot spot to be as it is also the home of the relatively new HomeGoods store, the new Restoration Hardware store, and the upcoming Trader Joe’s store.

Besides their menu of bagels and bagel sandwiches, the new shop will also have a full coffee bar.

Regular readers know that Bkd Bagels got its start back in 2021 when it opened a store in downtown Leesburg. It opened a second location in Purcellville in 2022. And now, it’s third location is ready to roll.

The brand has also announced a fourth location — planned for the Brambleton Corner Plaza in Ashburn. Last word was they hoped to open that location by the end of the year.

The new location opening Friday is larger than Bkd’s other spots, and the larger kitchen is expected to become the primary baking center now. A customized Bkd Bagels van will deliver fresh baked bagels to all the stores each morning.
