Purcellville getting a Panera Bread bakery cafe

Get ready, Purcellville. You’ll soon be able to get your favorite Panera sandwiches, soups, mac-and-cheeses, and more — because a new Panera Bread bakery cafe is in the works for P’ville.

The Burn has learned that Panera has signed a deal for a new restaurant to be built at the Catoctin Corner retail center.

That’s the center with the Chipotle, the Dunkin’, the 7-Eleven, and the future IHOP at the roundabout where Business 7 (Colonial Highway) meets 287 (Berlin Turnpike).

The Panera will go up on a vacant “pad site” — an empty piece of land in the center to the left of the Catoctin Corner Dentistry building.

The deal is brand new so no word yet on a timeline for when the new Panera might open. Hopefully it will move faster than the IHOP. We first reported on plans for that restaurant coming to the same center two years ago — in May 2022 — and the town is still waiting.
