New details on huge entertainment venue coming to Loudoun

Regular readers will recall back in February when news broke that a huge bowling, billiards and laser tag venue was being planned for a vacant space in the Dulles Town Center shopping mall.

Well, it looks like plans are moving forward and we’ve got new details on what’s in store.

A growing brand called 810 Billiards & Bowling has signed a lease for a roughly 67,000 s.f. space in the mall. They are taking space that used to be part of the Sears department store that closed back in 2021.

Now, according to plans for the venue, we can report the 810 Billiards & Bowling location in the mall will feature 26 bowling lanes, four axe throwing lanes, six dart lanes, three golf simulators, and 13 pool tables.

There will also be a stage for live music, a bar and large dining area, an arcade, miniature golf, a large laser tag arena, and a Mean Mugs milkshake bar. Plus there is a private lounge and at least two party/private event rooms.

If it comes off as planned, it will be a huge venue — unlike anything else in Loudoun or the immediate surrounding area.

We also know some of our readers like the “inside baseball” stuff so here is another interesting note. We’ve long been told by commercial real estate folks that one of the big problems with re-leasing and renovating former department stores is the presence of escalators.

Escalators are so mammoth that they are often cost prohibitive to remove during demo and construction.

It looks like 810 Billiards & Bowling has come up with a simple but brilliant solve. Plans call for the escalators in the former Sears space to be sealed off behind walls and the space used for storage.
