It looks like the Fresh Market specialty supermarket brand is making a fresh push into Northern Virginia. According to the Washington Business Journal, the company is planning two new stores in the region, including one in Reston.
The Reston store will be located near the intersection of Sunset Hills Road and Wiehle Avenue. It will be part of the greater Reston Station development that the folks at Comstock Companies are putting up. Comstock is also the developer behind Loudoun Station in Ashburn.
Besides Reston, the WBJ reports the other planned Fresh Market location is in Falls Church. The new stores will join two existing stores in NoVa in Vienna and Alexandria.
Of course, many Loudoun County residents remember that Ashburn once had its own Fresh Market store. It was located in One Loudoun, but closed back in 2017. It was replaced by Trader Joe’s.
