Folks in southern Loudoun County who are eager for the return of Ford’s Fish Shack to the community must certainly be heartened by the fast pace the the restaurant’s new building is going up.
The walls and roof are all framed, along with interior walls, and construction crews are swarming the site at the East Gate Marketplace shopping center each day.
Eventually, the spot will be home not only to the new Ford’s, but also at least two other yet-to-be-determined tenants as well.
We reached out to Tony Stafford, the founder and owner of Ford’s Fish Shack for an update: “We are still planning on a fall opening. With that being said, there is still a lot that needs to get done. Our Ford’s On The Road trailer is there every Friday to Sunday from 12 noon to 8:30 p.m. Our loyal fans can come by and check out the progress for themselves.”
Ford’s has two other brick-and-mortar locations in Loudoun — one in Ashburn, the other in Lansdowne.
It’s previous location in southern Loudoun at the South Riding Market Square plaza is becoming a new Sense of Thai restaurant which should be opening any day now.
