A new Colorado-based beverage company is expanding eastward and Leesburg and Northern Virginia are where it’s headed.
It’s called Pikes Peak Lemonade. It’s a gourmet lemonade retail store from Colorado Springs.
Billing themselves as the only lemonade tap room in the nation, they sell their drinks to consume on the spot, for carryout, and they even ship their sweet concoctions.
“Our lemonade always starts with organic cane sugar and lemon,” the company’s website reads. “From there we add organic lavender, fresh jalapeño, culinary rose and all of the freshest ingredients to give you a delicious beverage with ingredients that we are proud of.”
Pikes Peak has concentrates, cocktail mixers, and — at least in Colorado — even fills up growlers with various lemonades.
In July, it was announced that the company was starting to franchise and the first deal signed was for new Pikes Peak locations in DC and Northern Virginia.
Currently, the spot for that first store isn’t locked in yet. The local Pikes Peak team tells us they’ve been looking in Leesburg, but will also look in other communities around the area.
In the meantime, they are getting their feet wet by launching a mobile Pikes Peak Lemonade unit. Stay tuned and we’ll keep you posted on their search for a first location.
