Never doubt The Burn. Back in March, we broke the news that a new restaurant concept called Corsica Wine Bar was planning a spot at the Reston Town Center. Now, the news is official.
Reston Town Center has listed Corsica Wine Bar as “coming soon” on its website.
At the time we first reported the news, no one with the center would officially confirm it. But we found enough documents and other clues to make it pretty clear what the plans were.
Corsica Wine Bar will be taking over the space vacated by the French restaurant Mon Ami Gabi.
Corsica Wine Bar is a sister concept to the Barcelona Wine Bar brand — which has a popular outlet at the RTC.
It will focus on small plates with dishes and flavors from the French Mediterranean island of Corsica and surrounding cultures and cuisines.
The first Corsica opened in Denver earlier this year and we shared the menu from that location to give readers an idea of what might be in store for local diners at the RTC. You can see the menu and that report here.
No word yet on when Corsica Wine Bar hopes to open, so stay tuned.
