A new French restaurant in Loudoun County is making progress as it aims towards an early 2025 opening. We’re referring to the much anticipated Brasserie Royale.
As we reported back in March, Brasserie Royale is coming to the Cascades Marketplace shopping center in Sterling. It’s one of several new restaurants in the works there.
The brasserie is the handiwork of Chef Michael Stebner, the owner and creator of the popular Local Provisions restaurant, which is also located at Cascades Marketplace.
In fact, his new Brasserie Royale is going into the vacant unit immediately next door to Local Provisions. Talk about convenient for him and his team.
Stebner shared an update on the progress of the new restaurant with The Burn.
A little bit of preliminary work — mostly clearing out the space from the previous tenant — has started, but the architectural plans for Brasserie Royale are currently being reviewed by county officials.
We’ve also got a first look at the logo for the new restaurant and Stebner also shared details on some of the dishes he’s working on for the BR menu.
“The menu will feature our house Smoked Salmon, Oeufs Mayonaise, Crispy Brie Cheese with Espelette Gelée, Roasted Beets and Chèvre, Gruyère Ravioli with Yellow Tomato Butter, Boeuf Bourguignon, Profiteroles, and Tarte au Citron to name a few,” Stebner said.
He says he and his crew are aiming for a February opening if all goes smoothly.
Other new restaurants headed to the Cascades Marketplace plaza include a Shake Shack, a CHIKO Asian restaurant, a Taco Bamba Mexican restaurant, and a Mezeh Mediterranean Grill.
