A new bakery specializing in Salvadoran desserts as well as pupusas and appetizers has opened its doors in Sterling.
It’s called Dulce Tentacion and it’s located in the Countryside Marketplace shopping center near the intersection of Route 7 and Countryside Boulevard.
We first told you about plans for the bakery last November. It’s taken a roughly 1,600 s.f. space near the far north end of the center.
Dulce Tentacion has a wide lineup of sweets — from chocolate chip, blueberry and banana walnut muffins to guava pastries, rice cookies, cakes and more.
As we mentioned, they also have pupusas on the menu — thick griddle cakes traditional in El Salvador.
They also have appetizers such as Pan con Pollo chicken sandwiches, Cheesy Beans and more.
Before opening the brick-and-mortar bakery, the owner of Dulce Tentacion had a custom cake baking and decorating business in the area.
