It’s the end of an era. After 35 years serving Loudoun County residents and their horticultural needs, the famed Blue Mount Nursery just north of Route 7 in Ashburn will hit the auction block this weekend.
The Blue Mount property has been sold for a new residential development — something The Burn first reported on way back in 2021.
The auction will liquidate any remaining items at the nursery before the new owners take over.
This includes not only any plants, shrubbery, and trees, but also things like a skid loader, dump trucks, greenhouses, weed whackers, boulders, even a Silverado pick-up truck. See the flyer below for more details on items for sale.
The auction will be held onsite at the nursery, which is located at 20052 Garden Center Court. It starts at 9 a.m. on Friday, September 27, and then again at 9 a.m. on Saturday, September 28.
