The roads are closed. The fences have gone up. A new construction zone is coming to One Loudoun in Ashburn and it will bring some big changes with it in the future.
We’re talking about the latest expansion of Ashburn’s de facto downtown — a new block of retail stores and restaurants as well as new green space.
This new phase is similar to the most recent expansion — the block of retail spaces that today includes Sephora, Sweetgreen, Warby Parker, Lululemon, South Block, and others.
The only tenant for the new section that we know of so far is Arhaus, the upscale funiture brand. The Burn broke that news back in May.
Arhaus is scheduled to have a large, corner unit featuring nearly 20,000 s.f. on two levels, plus a 4,000 s.f. terrace.
The plans call for more units earmarked for new stores and restaurants. The exact number of spaces isn’t clear yet and there’s no word on who any of those future tenants might be.
We are working on getting more details on the current vision for the new phase now that the project is getting underway.
Meanwhile, the fencing and road closures only impact the construction zone — there are still roads on either side that are open for people transiting through the One Loudoun property.
