Out with one sushi restaurant and in with another. That’s apparently what is happening at one Loudoun County retail center.
The Burn has learned that a new tenant has been signed for the spot that was previously occupied by Shiro Sushi & Teriyaki in South Riding’s Gum Spring Village Center.
The new tenant is a different sushi concept called Ichigo Sushi.
We don’t have any details yet on Ichigo — the website is currently just a “coming soon” page with no menu details. Nevertheless, sushi is usually sushi.
When the owners release more details, we’ll be back with an update.
Speaking of sushi — it is certainly having a moment — because there are a bunch of new sushi restaurants on their way to the area.
In recent months, we’ve told you about Ebusu Sushi & Thai planning a downtown Leesburg restaurant, Sushi Cho coming to the Dulles 28 Centre, Running Dish Sushi headed to Sugarland Crossing, and Kusshi Sushi working on a spot in the Reston Town Center.
Plus Sushi King recently opened in the Dulles Town Center mall and Matsu Poke & Sushi opened in Ashburn’s Cameron Chase Village Center.
