We have our first glimpse of what the pending Guilford Station development might look like. And if you’re saying “Guilford Station… where’s that?” Don’t worry, you’re not alone.
Guilford Station is the just announced name for a new retail and business development going up at the big intersection of State Road 28/Sully Road and Church Road. That’s the parcel of land just across 28 from the Dulles 28 Centre (aka the Wegmans/Target shopping center).
The Burn reported on the project back in April, but we didn’t know many details. (See original story here.) Now, we know the name and we have the tentative layout seen in the image above. It includes a gas station/c-store, three restaurant or retail pads (sites), an Enterprise car rental and sales location, and a couple of other buildings.
We’ve reached out to the property owner for more details, but so far no word on when they will break ground on Guilford Station or what restaurants and businesses may open there. Speaking as someone who uses the W&OD Trail, those businesses would be conveniently close to the trail for a nice rest stop.
