New in NoVa: Layne’s Chicken Fingers coming to region

The Burn is always trying to keep an eye on what’s new and what’s coming up in the area, so we thought it was newsworthy that a fast-casual restaurant brand called Layne’s Chicken Fingers is looking to enter the DC market.

Layne’s Chicken Fingers is a Texas-based company with 10 locations currently and it specializes in chicken fingers, obviously. The whole chicken tenders segment of the market is hot with multiple brands growing around the country.

The most obvious one locally is Raising Cane’s, which just entered Northern Virginia when its first area location opened in Sterling last December. Zaxby’s is another example — it has one location in southern Loudoun along Highway 50.

Layne’s has reported that the company has signed a deal with a local franchisee to open multiple Layne’s Chicken Fingers locations in Northern Virginia. No specific sites have been announced yet.

The menu at Layne’s is very simple — chicken tenders, chicken tenders in a sandwich, French fries, a couple of other items — that’s it. You can check out the full line-up at Layne’s here.

We’ll keep you posted when Layne’s announces its first NoVa location.
