Sign is up at the new Hangry Joe’s in Ashburn

It was just a couple of weeks back that The Burn reported on the work underway at not one, not two, but three Hangry Joe’s Hot Chicken restaurants coming to Loudoun County. Now, the first sign we’ve seen has gone up at one of the stores.

The latest sign of progress (our favorite pun) is the sign that’s been installed on the facade at the upcoming Ashburn location of Hangry Joe’s. The restaurant has taken over a space vacated by a Japanese eatery in the Cameron Chase Village Center.

That’s the shopping plaza next door to the Ashburn Ice House near the confluence of Farmwell Road, Waxpool Road and Smith Switch Road.

As we’ve reported, there are also Hangry Joe’s locations underway in Leesburg at the Leesburg Plaza center off East Market Street, and far eastern Sterling at the Town Center at Sterling shopping center found at Route 7 and Dranesville Road.

No word yet when any of the Hangry Joe’s will open. It’s a race to see which one will finish first. We had been betting on the Leesburg location, but the sign installation at the Ashburn spot has us rethinking our hunch. Stay tuned.
