New in NoVa: Tiger Sugar bubble tea shop opening two locations

A new bubble tea brand that is growing rapidly across the country now has its first two stores in the works for Northern Virginia.

It’s called Tiger Sugar and it was started in Taiwan in 2017. Today, in the U.S., there are locations open in more than two dozen states.

According to the Tiger Sugar website, here in NoVa, stores are planned for 4363 John Marr Drive in Annandale and 5704 Pickwick Road in Centreville.

“Our Tiger Sugar drinks not only taste good, but tell our unique story with ‘tiger stripes’ that are infused onto all our drinks with unique hand-poured syrups,” the website reads. “We use a proprietary 8-hour method for cooking our syrups and tapioca pearls. This results in the perfect marriage of tea, milk, and syrup in every sip.”

The signature drink at Tiger Sugar is something called the Black Sugar Boba + Pearl Milk with Cream Mousse. We’re sharing the full drink menu below.

No word on when the two new Tiger Sugar locations will open.
