First Look: X-Golf in Ashburn ready to welcome golfers

The new X-Golf indoor golf facility in Ashburn is quietly starting its soft opening tonight — Friday, January 12. That’s according to the owners who say the simulators are all up and running and the kitchen is open.

The Burn got a tour of the facility in the Broadlands Village Center this afternoon. It includes multiple high-tech simulators where you tee off and computers analyze ever aspect of your drive.

There is also a small putting green area — but come back in a few weeks. That’s when X-Golf will be replacing the current putting green with a high-tech one that uses cameras and lasers to measure and record how you putt.

Meanwhile, the kitchen is open with a variety of bar style bites and dishes. The one thing that’s not on tap yet — the booze. X-Golf’s ABC license should be coming any time now, but until then beer, wine, and the full bar are on hold.

The owners say their facility is also the only place in Loudoun County where you will find a Botrista machine. It’s a drink making robot of sorts that produces all types of fruity drinks from Dragon Fruit Berry Lemonade to something called an Island Fresca.

If you want to be one of the first to check out the new X-Golf, they should have the doors unlocked now and they are planning to really get things rolling this weekend.
