A new day spa is under construction in Ashburn. The Honey Care Spa is headed to the Goose Creek Village retail center.
That’s the Harris Teeter-anchored plaza on the northwest corner of Belmont Ridge Road and Sycolin Road.
Honey Care Spa has taken a spot on the lower level facing Sycolin. It’s next door to the recently opened Tennis String Theory tennis shop.
It seems the specialty of the spa is “sugaring hair removal.” Sugaring is a method of hair removal that typically uses a mixture of lemon, water, and honey to create a sticky substance that removes unwanted hair.
It’s not dissimilar to waxing, but online sources say it’s less painful that waxing and better for sensitive skin.
Honey Care Spa will also offer lash extensions and other services. Not word yet on when opening day will be.
