Wow!

Second Loudoun teen competing on “American Idol” this season

It’s an abundance of riches in Loudoun County — where there are now two local teenagers potentially in the running for a spot on the upcoming season of the “American Idol” TV show.

Earlier today, we wrote about high school senior Sela Campbell of Leesburg who auditioned and is expected to be featured in at least one episode — maybe more if she advances in the competition.

Now, we’ve learned that Lillian Hackett from Lovettsville is also reportedly in the running for a spot on Idol. The high school junior who attends Woodgrove High in Purcellville also auditioned for the show recently in Nashville.

The new season premieres Sunday night at 8 p.m. on ABC.

No details on how Lillian did nor whether she will definitely appear on the show. The “American Idol” producers swear everyone to secrecy before the shows air.

But The Burn and its readers wish Lillian the best of luck too and we’ll be rooting for her. In the meantime, enjoy this video of a beautiful original song she wrote called “Tennessee.”
