Ohana Poke starts soft opening today in Ashburn

A new fast casual poke restaurant is starting a soft opening today — Wednesday, May 22 — in Ashburn. Get ready to welcome Ohana Poke to the community.

Ohana Poke can be found in the Ashburn Village Shopping Center off Gloucester Parkway.

The restaurant has taken a 1,200 s.f. space next door to the Thai Ashburn restaurant. That’s — in part — because the two restaurants have the same owners.

In fact, there is now a doorway between the two restaurants. Visitors to the fast casual Ohana Poke are welcome to take their food and go sit down in the Thai Ashburn dining room. And guests at Thai Ashburn can order poke dishes from next door. It’s synergy, folks.

Poke comes from the Hawaiian word meaning “to slice” or “to cut.” The dish is usually made from sushi grade fish which is diced, and served on rice with a variety sauces and toppings.
