PANDA EXPRESS HOLDS GRAND OPENING TODAY

It’s the first location for the national chain in Loudoun County.

The new Panda Express Chinese Kitchen in Leesburg is open for business. The crew was hustling around cooking food and brewing ice tea last minute before the official 11:30 a.m. start time.

The new restaurant — the first location for the national chain in Loudoun County — is in the busy restaurant area along Edwards Ferry Road by the Kohls, Target and Costco. It sits next to the Chick-Fil-A and shares a building with the new Potbelly Sandwich Shop that opened in December. The two eateries sandwich a Great Clips in between them.

The Burn broke the news about Panda Express last June when construction hadn’t even started. The brand was founded in 1983 and specializes in “American Chinese” cuisine. It’s menu is full of Chinese restaurant staples such as Kung Pao Chicken, Broccoli Beef and Fried Rice. There are roughly 1,900 locations around the world.
