Breaking news! The Burn has officially learned that the new Trader Joe’s store at One Loudoun in Ashburn will open on Thursday, September 6. They will be holding hiring events this Saturday and Sunday, Aug. 11 and 12.

After much anticipation, Loudoun County’s first-ever Trader Joe’s store will officially open its doors to the public on Thursday, September 6 at 8 a.m.. A brief ceremonial lei cutting will take place moments before the store opens for business, and the grand opening celebration is scheduled to continue throughout the day with live music, food tastings, giveaways and more. Store Captain Chris Moring—a 17-year veteran of the company, and Trader Joe’s Crew Members will be on hand to greet and assist customers. The new store, which will be the 14th Trader Joe’s location in Virginia, is located in the heart of Ashburn and will feature murals that pay tribute to local landmarks and highlight the outdoor spirit of Loudoun County. How are they going to solve the parking problem? The lots outside their location are spacious and easy to access. Judging by all other Trader Joe’s I’ve ever visited, this is a direct violation of company policy. All TJ parking lots need to be tiny and difficult to reach to complete the TJ shopping experience.
