HOMEGOODS AND HOMESENSE BOTH OPENING SEPT. 27

The home decor stores sit near each other in Potomac Run Plaza in Sterling.

It’s going to be a big day in Loudoun for home decorators — the county’s latest HomeGoods store along with Virginia’s first Homesense store are both opening on the same day in the same shopping center. The two brands — both owned by the same parent company — will open their doors Thursday Sept. 27 in the Potomac Run Plaza in Sterling.

Most area residents are familiar with HomeGoods, a store carrying major brands at discounted prices. Well, Homesense is kind of like a HomeGoods, only on steroids. Homesense will feature larger-scale furniture, a rug emporium, a large lighting section and more.

Grand opening celebrations are planned at both locations — just a couple hundred feet apart — all day on the 27th starting at 8 a.m.
