A new taco shop is coming to the suddenly hot University Commerce Center. That’s off George Washington Boulevard in Ashburn north of Route 7. It’s called Taco Zocalo and it will be a new location for the Reston-based business.
Taco Zocalo has been open in Reston since 2017. It’s a brick-and-mortar location affiliated with the Chef on Wheels food truck. The menu for Taco Zocalo is filled with popular Mexican dishes including flour and corn tortilla tacos, chimichangas, burritos, burrito bowls and more.
The shop will be taking over the space recently vacated by Antonio’s New York Pizzeria. A banner is already hanging out front.
We say this humble little center is suddenly hot because of a flurry of new restaurants popping up there. The Wicket Door Pub recently opened in the University Commerce Center, and the Saigon Outcast Vietnamese themed restaurant and bar is under construction there.
The owner says they hope to open Taco Zocalo by early March.
