New Rubino’s Pizzeria aims for early April opening

The restaurant is moving a block away into the new Ashbrook Marketplace shopping center.

It appears the new Rubino’s Pizzeria location in Ashburn’s Ashbrook Marketplace shopping center is pushing forward with its upcoming opening. The restaurant announced on social media that they have April 5 — or close to it — as their target date.

The space has been under construction for several months now and the Rubino’s team will formally move into the space this weekend. Final safety and health inspections from various county departments are scheduled for next week.

Regular readers of The Burn know that the Rubino’s is moving from is current location in the shopping center right next door. We broke the news back in August 2019 that the restaurant would leave the Ashbrook Commons center and set up shop in Ashbrook Marketplace roughly a hundred yards away.

The move comes despite the coronavirus pandemic that has closed restaurant dining rooms across the state and forced owners and managers to switch to curbside carry out and delivery options exclusively.

Ashbrook Marketplace is located at the intersection of Ashburn Village Boulevard and Russell Branch Parkway. It is anchored by a Lidl grocery store and still-under-construction Planet Fitness gym.
