Despite pandemic, Mission BBQ continues tradition of honoring America’s flag

Everyday at noon, everyone at Mission BBQ stops for the National Anthem.

Kudos to the Mission BBQ restaurant chain for providing some continuity and a happy note during these difficult times. The brand is continuing its daily tradition of pausing at 12 noon in order to play the Star-Spangled Banner and salute the flag of the United States.

“Playing our National Anthem every day at noon has been a tradition ever since we first opened our doors on September 11, 2011. In spite of the fact that we can’t gather in our 93 locations, Mission BBQ will continue to take two minutes out of our day to honor and salute our flag and our country,” the restaurant said in a press statement. “We will be live streaming the National Anthem on our Facebook pageeveryday at noon until this crisis has past… because we are free and because we can.”

Currently, all locations of Mission BBQ — including the one in Sterling in Regal Plaza — remain open and serving up carry-out food.
