Sterling brewery offering vaccine shot and a free beer

The Beltway Brewing Company wants to encourage people to get vaccinated against COVID-19.

The Beltway Brewing Company in Sterling wants to help motivate people to get their COVID-19 vaccination and they want to make it as easy — and enjoyable — as possible. So next week, they will have medical professionals from Inova onsite administering vaccine shots and then you can stick around for a free 16-ounce beer on the house.

The event is scheduled for next Wednesday, June 2 from 12 to 4 p.m. Plans call for the vaccination station to distribute 200 Johnson & Johnson vaccines to adults 21+ with a valid driver’s license. After getting the jab, they’ll get a voucher for the beer that can be used that day or anytime in June.

And if you’ve already gotten the vaccination, don’t worry. You can get in on the action too. Just show up to Beltway with your vaccination card during regular taproom hours between Wednesday, June 2 and Sunday, June 6, and you’ll get a voucher too.

Beltway Brewing is located at 22620 Davis Drive, Suite 110. Among the beers Beltway serves on draft — District of Champions, a red lager; The Circle, an IPA; Blood Orange HOV, a flavored blonde ale; and Changing Lanes, a double IPA. You can see Beltway’s full line up of beers here.
