Bilstad’s Beignets, a pop-up purveyor of the puffy French pastries, is getting close to opening its first brick-and-mortar location in Ashburn. If all goes as planned, they are looking at opening sometime in September.
Bilstad’s is coming to a storefront in the Old Ashburn neighborhood along Ashburn Road. The address is 20937 Ashburn Road, Unit 150. That’s the same building where The Difference Baker is located.
The new sweet shop has been sharing images to social media, including its simple and straightforward menu.
It includes beignets in packs of 3, 6, or 12 along with various sweet-flavored dippers for dunking your pastries. They will also have hot and cold brewed coffee available.
The interior is decked out in Bilstad’s orange and navy color scheme. There are several tables for guests as well.
Bilstad’s has temporarily halted the pop-up kiosks they have done successfully at local farmers’ markets and events while they finish up work on the store. They are currently hiring bakery assistants who can work morning hours as they ramp up to opening.
