Sheffield Furniture closing at Dulles Town Center mall

Another major tenant is moving out of the Dulles Town Center shopping mall in Sterling. Signs are up that Sheffield Furniture & Interiors is closing its store there.

Sheffield Furniture has been a fixture at the mall since around 2009. Before that, it was a Danker Furniture showroom. Shoppers may recall that Sheffield has a separate outside entrance near the Cheesecake Factory and the former PF Chang’s locations.

The signs call it a “historic $5 million store moving sale.” We’re told Sheffield is planning on relocating its store to the Tysons area, although no specific location has been announced.

Sheffield is a Pennsylvania-based brand with its headquarters near Philadelphia. It has two showrooms — one in the Philly area and the one that is moving here in Northern Virginia. Another showroom in Rockville closed during the pandemic.

No word on when Sheffield’s final day at the Dulles Town Center will be. The mall has lost several major anchor tenants in recent years, including Lord & Taylor, Nordstrom and Sears.
