It looks like Leesburg could soon be getting its second Wendy’s fast-food restaurant. The brand is listed as currently negotiating for a spot at the Shops at Compass Creek.
That’s the row of shops and restaurants surrounding the Leesburg Walmart store by the airport. Wendy’s is looking at a location on the corner in front of the At Home home decor store.
There is also a Wendys on East Market Street in Leesburg.
The Compass Creek development has grown quickly. Anchored by the Walmart, the At Home, and the ION International skating center, there are now multiple other restaurants including a Popeyes, a Chipotle, a Starbucks, a Buffalo Wing Factory, and a Bruster’s Real Ice Cream shop.
A gas station has also opened, and a Mezeh Mediterranean Grill restaurant, and an AT&T store are in the works.
Originally, a hotel was also part of the plans for the property, but — so far — there’s no update on that component.
