Longhorn Steakhouse closes permanently at Dulles Town Center

The Longhorn Steakhouse at the Dulles Town Center in Sterling has closed its doors for good. Yesterday was its last day in business and they sure didn’t waste any time.

Crews were already boarding up the building this morning and the sign and Longhorn logo were removed from the facade.

The Dulles Town Center location has also disappeared from the Longhorn Steakhouse website. An answering machine message alerted callers to the closure and encouraged guests to go to the next nearest location in Chantilly.

No official reason for the closing was announced, although we’re told an employee onsite said it was simply because it was a low performing location.

The closure comes at the same time that two new restaurants are in development for a parcel of land near the Village at Leesburg and the plans indicated one of them could be a Longhorn. You can read more about that project here and why we’re hedging our bets on what will ultimately go there.
