It’s opening day at Taco Bamba in Herndon

Today — Tuesday April 4 — is the big day at the new Taco Bamba location in Herndon. The doors officially opened this morning on the brand’s latest location in Northern Virginia.

We have our first look inside thanks to a photo posted to social media earlier this morning. The dining room is done up in the signature red and black colors and features lots of bar height tables and chairs.

The new location is in the Village Center at Dulles in Herndon. That’s a large shopping plaze off Centreville Road just south of 267 at Exit 10. It’s the same shopping center with the big clock tower.

It’s interesting to note that the space where the new Taco Bamba is located used to be a Rubino’s Pizzeria — a brand very familiar to folks in eastern Loudoun County. The Rubino’s have two pizzerias in Ashburn and also own The Filling Co. chain of gas stations and convenience stores.

Taco Bamba is a NoVa-based brand with nine locations open now in Virginia and Maryland. Two more new stores are in the works — one in the District on Wisconsin Avenue and one in Raleigh, N.C.
