New to NoVa: East Coast Wings opening Manassas location

It’s always fun to see what new restaurants are setting their sights on Northern Virginia. While there are lots of people here, lease rates are higher than in many other areas of the country, so fast-food and fast-casual brands sometimes move cautiously.

The latest to make the leap is East Coast Wings & Grill. According to the ECW website, the brand is working on a location in Manassas — its first in Northern Virginia.

East Coast Wings was started in Winston-Salem, N.C. back in 1995. Today, there are more than 40 locations open or in the works in seven states.

The menu at East Coast Wings focuses on — wait for it — chicken wings. They have boneless and bone-in wings in a variety of flavors.

They also have salads, sandwiches, burgers, and various flatbreads — plus appetizers like Buffalo Tots, Fried Pickle Chips, and Southern Poutine Fries. Check out the full ECW menu here.

The exact location of the Manassas store hasn’t been listed on the brand’s website. This could mean they are simply still keeping it under wraps OR it could mean they have signed a franchise agreement with a local entrepreneur in the Manassas area, but a lease for a first location hasn’t been signed.

We’ll keep an eye on this in hopes they eventually move up into the Loudoun-Fairfax area. Stay tuned.
