The Great Xcape — a massive 20,000 s.f. escape room complex coming to the Dulles Town Center mall — is getting closer to opening. The rooms themselves have all been shipped from Europe and are just waiting for permitting and installation.
Now, the Xcape team has shared a sneak preview of the rooms they will be offering when they open.
ALICE IN WONDERLAND
Don’t be late for this date! A magnificent Escape Room that includes various different rooms with hidden entrances. The team enters the magic world of the looking-glass through mirrored door. The players must collect the magic Time Spheres, lost by the Time Master, to finish the game.
THE TIME MACHINE
A few months ago, scientists made a major breakthrough and were able to make an egg from the last living dinosaur DNA sample. The egg was due to hatch soon, but this morning, the health of the egg deteriorated abruptly. Your mission is to travel through time to find an antidote, but first, you have to demonstrate your knowledge of dinosaurs. Then you must travel to the future and back to save the egg.
THE EXORCIST
“Evil is everywhere. It poisons life — slowly and subtly — and takes away that which is most precious. But maybe the evil is inside of each of us?” This scary escape room is based on the idea of being possessed by an evil spirit and having to help a small child escape from a nightmare.
GAME OF STONES
The winter came, the wall fell and the Army of the Dead destroyed everything in its path. Now, the dead are approaching the first kingdom of the people. Mankind must prepare for war – not to win a throne or a crown, but a war for life itself. An elite team must venture to the throne room of the Snow King to find legendary artifacts that could be the only hope to defeat the dead.
ROAD OF THE RING
Discover a new world in which four ancient houses do battle. Humans, elves, dwarves, and hobbits want to master the source of unlimited power so they can rule the kingdom. Who will find the ring first?
The Great Xcape at Dulles Town Center will also have a steampunk-style arcade and a 200-person event space. They also plan on hosting Murder Mystery meals.
If the timeline stays on track, they are planning to open The Great Xcape sometime in June.
