Kabob Nook getting good reviews inside Loudoun gas station

A new restaurant quietly opened in the South Riding area earlier this spring and it’s starting to rack up some rave reviews. It’s called the Kabob Nook and it’s inside a Shell gas station on Southpoint Drive.

Local residents may be familiar with the location. It was the former home of the popular Yopo’s Cheesesteaks & Kabobs.

Yopo’s closed its stand in the gas station a year ago and now apparently is operating as a food truck business versus brick-and-mortar. They just launched a new truck at the beginning of this month.

Meanwhile, the menu at Kabob Nook features various kabobs, gyros, salads, wraps, rice bowls, as well as entrees like Butter Chicken and Lamb Chops.

Kabob Nook describes its food online as “street style Mediterranean food with high quality fresh ingredients” and well as being halal.

So far, the reviews online for the restaurant have been all four and five stars, proving once again that sometimes good food can be found in unlikely places.
