Altar’d State closing Leesburg store this week

Altar’d State — a national women’s clothing shop chain — is permanently closing its Leesburg location this week. It’s last day will be Wednesday.

The store has been located in the Village at Leesburg for more than a decade in a 9,000 s.f. space across the street from the recently expanded Woodhouse Day Spa.

An Altar’d State store in Tysons that opened in 2016 reportedly also closed recently.

There’s no official word on why the Leesburg store is closing, but we’re told they are open 12 noon to 6 p.m. today — Sunday, June 25 — and then 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. this Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. Then the store will close its doors.

There are still dozens of Altar’d State locations around the Southeast and across the country. According to the company’s website, the next nearest ones to Loudoun County are in Charlottesville and the Richmond area.
