Caccia Restaurant in the works for former Aldie Country Store

We’ve got a few more details on the upscale “5-star” restaurant in the works for the site that used to be the old Aldie Country Store.

Readers may remember the buzz that started last fall when word spread that the new owners of the building at 39285 John Mosby Highway were refurbishing the space.

In October, The Burn reported on the Rubano family and their plans for a new Italian restaurant. The family — who has a home in the Middleburg area — also owns a fine dining restaurant in Miami.

Now, we’ve learned the working name of the Aldie establishment is Caccia Restaurant. “Caccia” is the Italian word for “hunting,” a fitting name in the heart of hunt country.

According to documents submitted to Loudoun County, Caccia will have 68 indoor seats and 69 outdoor seats on a large L-shaped deck.

The deck will have both dining tables, and a more lounge-y area facing the highway. Inside, a large bar will be built with room for roughly a dozen patrons.

Still no official timetable on when Caccia might open. We reached out to the owners, but they aren’t ready to release additional details quite yet.
