One of Loudoun County’s few entirely vegetarian restaurants is sadly closing its doors this week. We’re talking about the Udupi Bhavan Indian restaurant in Sterling.
The restaurant has announced that tomorrow — Tuesday, August 1 — will be its last day in business. A call to the restaurant confirmed the news.
“We thank you all for the last five years of your patronage,” the staff posted to social media.
Indeed, the Udupi Bhavan opened back in 2018 in a corner unit at the Dulles Town Crossing shopping center that was previously the site of an Atlanta Bread Company restaurant.
Dulles Town Crossing is the same center with the Best Buy, the World Market, and the new Raising Cane’s chicken finger restaurant.
No word yet on what new tenant might take the 4,200 s.f. space that the Udupi Bhavan is vacating.
