The Crow’s Nest rooftop bar debuts tonight in Leesburg

Unlike in a big city, rooftop bars are in short supply in our region. But there’s a new one called The Crow’s Nest opening tonight — Friday, August 4 — in downtown Leesburg.

The new establishment is actually a clever rebrand for the bar found atop the Buford’s Biscuits Southern-style restaurant at 7 West Market Street. They’re billing it as a bar with “affordable cocktails” and “the best view.”

One of the logos for The Crow’s Nest features a parrot — which was puzzling at first. But a crow’s nest is a spot high atop the mast on a ship and pirates sail on ships and sometimes pirates have parrots, so that’s the logic path we’re following.

The drink menu at bar includes a Rum Rummer, an Orange Crush, and a cocktail called a Sweaty Mexican Peach made with tequila, peach juice, lime juice, and habanero jam.

There is also a selection of beers. You can see the debut menu below. The Crow’s Nest will be open each Friday and Saturday night from 6 p.m. to 12 midnight.
