Growing car wash brand planning first Loudoun location

It looks like a new car wash brand is moving into Northern Virginia’s “buzz worthy” car wash market and they’ve got plans for a location in Loudoun County.

The company is called Edge Express Car Wash and they are planning on building a facility at 45954 Russell Branch Parkway.

That’s right by the Wawa convenience store at the intersection of Gloucester Parkway and Russell Branch and part of the larger Kincora development.

According to its website, Edge Express Car Wash has five locations in Virginia, including in Woodbridge and Manassas. The brand also has locations in North Carolina, South Carolina, and Maryland.

We call the local car wash industry “buzz worthy” because people in the area have had a lot of opinions ever since Flagship Carwash came in and purchased many of the local car washes and brought them under their brand.

At the same time, Flagship built a huge facility on Loudoun County Parkway near One Loudoun that purports to be the largest indoor car wash in the United States.

As The Burn has reported, car wash insiders say the entire industry is moving towards the express model — where the exterior of your car is cleaned as it moves through a tunnel. Afterwards, car owners can dry the car themselves and vacuum out the interior.

This appears to be the model that Edge Express follows, offering customers free use of towels, window cleaner, and vacuums.
