Some businesses like to play the long game. It was back in late 2021 that The Burn reported about a Mayweather Boxing + Fitness studio coming to Loudoun County and Ashburn specifically.
Now, approaching two years later, the new workout facility is under construction. It’s going to be located in the Lexington 7 development located on the north side of Route 7.
That’s the same center where The Ballpark Loudoun, an indoor batting cage and baseball training center can be found. It’s also right next door to the retail center where Texas Roadhouse, Oak Health, Black Hog BBQ, and other businesses are located.
Mayweather Boxing is obviously named for boxing champ Floyd Mayweather. The famous athlete won 15 major world championships in five weight classes and was once named “Fighter of the Decade” by professional boxing writers.
According to the company’s website, the fitness programs at Mayweather Boxing + Fitness were developed by Mayweather and are based on the training regimens he used during his career. They feature a combo of boxing, strength training and cardio conditioning.
