Work resumes on Mezeh Mediterranean Grill in Leesburg

The new Mezeh Mediterranean Grill coming to Leesburg is back in action. Construction work on the 2,600 s.f. space has resumed after months with little to no visible progress.

The restaurant — part of a growing regional east coast chain — is coming to the Shops at Compass Creek near the new Walmart store and the ION International skating center.

The deal to bring Mezeh to the center was first announced back in early 2022. Work started on the space, but by late 2022 or early 2023, the work had apparently stopped.

This led to many questions from area fans of the brand wondering when construction would resume. And now we know.

Still no official date when Mezeh might open. We have reached out to the company’s HQ on several occasions and gotten no response.

According to the Mezeh website, they have roughly 50 locations open or in the works — many of them here in Northern Virginia. But the Leesburg location will be the first one in Loudoun County.

The menu focuses on build your own bowls, pitas, and salads. We’re sharing it below so you can start planning your first order now.
