The Container Store confirmed for One Loudoun in Ashburn

It appears The Container Store planned for One Loudoun is a done deal. That’s because the shopping center itself has confirmed the news in online documents.

The Burn broke the news about Loudoun County getting its first Container Store back in July. We reported that the national retail brand was looking at the former Great Gatherings space.

However, One Loudoun officials wouldn’t officially comment on our report or on any plans for the vacant 17,000 s.f. space.

Now, the space has been marked in leasing documents as the future home of The Container Store, although they still haven’t added it to the official Downtown One Loudoun website.

Meanwhile, it looks like a GC, or general contractor, has been hired, so construction work on the space should be starting anytime — if it hasn’t started already.

For those unfamiliar with the brand, The Container Store specializes in exactly what it says — containers of every shape and size and assorted storage solutions.

Boxes, baskets, and crates, along with closet organizers, drawer organizers, shoe caddies, dorm room decor, and more fill a typical Container Store.

No word yet on when the new store is aiming to open, but based on the timing — early 2024 would be a good bet.
